Hi, I'm Carol M. Lazo. I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in California.

About me
I specialize in working with diverse college students, student-athletes, and early career professionals in healthcare, business, and scientific disciplines. I take a collaborative approach in helping clients resolve anxiety, life transitions, work-life concerns, family or relationship conflict, bereavement, and trauma.

My experience spans inpatient, community counseling, employee assistance (EAP), university counseling (CAPS), and D1 athletics settings. I have a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine GSEP, an MBA from Babson College, and completed advanced training in Sport Psychology, CBT, ACT, and IPSRT modalities.
My Approach
My practice helps high performers overcome the complex stressors of their profession or personal lives using an integrated wellness perspective that combines evidence-based therapy, sport psychology, and holistic mind-body interventions.

ESA Letter Policy
As a clinical counselor and dog parent, I have seen how my clients' mental and physical health, insight, and relationships have improved by becoming pet parents themselves. I provide Emotional Support Animal (ESA) letters in accordance with California Law for clients who I have worked with for at least 30 days, and have completed an evaluation demonstrating the clinical need for an emotional support animal. ESA documentation can be provided by a licensed provider for dogs only.
